Custom Vacuum Formed ABS Equipment Cover for the Fitness Industry
 Golden Plastics Corp. specializes in custom vacuum forming of ABS, as well as precision mold making and part finishing. A manufacturer of fitness equipment needed to utilize our capabilities for the manufacture of this black ABS equipment cover.
The cover consisted of two mirror image parts, with dimensions of 32" x 32' x 5", with a thickness of 0.118", and a hair-cell textured finish. The vacuum process that we employed required temperature controlled cast aluminum male molds. The parts were vacuum-formed and then machined using a CNC router to trim the part to the required ±0.005" tolerances. After full inspection the order, was delivered to the customer, who now places repeat orders.
